Vietnam National Day in Dubai is part of a series of events at the World Expo 2020, expected to be the shortest way to promote Vietnam to international friends across five continents.
In preparation for this day, the EXPO 2020 Organizing Committee and Al Wasl's technical team completed a general rehearsal and screened short films in Dubai on December 20. At the same time, a general rehearsal of the art program with the theme "The Eternal Flow" was also held at My Dinh Stadium on the evening of December 23.

Coming to direct the rehearsal, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong said that in addition to the film week and some seminar activities, "Endless Flow" is also a highlight. Here, Vietnam will introduce to international friends the most beautiful images to promote Vietnamese tourism, through dance and circus performances combined with traditional fashion, videos introducing Vietnamese tourism with famous tourist destinations such as Ninh Binh, terraced fields, Hanoi Capital, Ha Long Bay, etc. In particular, the image of the national flag flying and a short story about the legend of the Dragon and Fairy's descendants will also be shown on the Al Wasl dome.

This is the art program with the largest number of performing artists among all the world exhibitions that Vietnam has participated in, from circus performers, dancers, traditional musical instruments performers to models.
To participate in the program, Dak Nong province alone has selected 14 outstanding artists (7 gong performers and 7 brocade weavers) in the province to perform. Along with that are more than 150 artists and units such as the Vietnam Music and Dance Theater, the Vietnam Circus Federation and the Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Troupe. The artists will perform many performances to exchange culture, enhance the identity of Vietnamese folk art and traditional fashion in the eyes of international friends.
For brocade weavers, there will be a separate place for experimentation and product introduction at the "Exhibition and Product Display Space" in the Vietnam Exhibition Hall in Dubai. Here, visitors will learn about hand-woven brocade products made from traditional materials, and admire the specific stages to make those brocade products.
"The EXPO 2020 Dubai International Exhibition is a special event after two years of the world fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. Participating in the exhibition is a great opportunity for Vietnam to introduce its most unique cultural features to the world," said Mr. Dong.
