The German Festival 2018 in Hanoi was a vibrant event.

The German Festival 2018 will take place on November 2nd and 3rd, 2018 at the Ly Thai To Monument Square in Hanoi. This is an opportunity for Hanoi residents to learn about, explore, and experience German culture.

Representing the German Embassy, ​​Mr. Christian Berger happily announced that, after four successful editions, the German Festival is returning to Hanoi this year with the aim of bringing authentic experiences of the country to participants, while promoting and expanding opportunities for future cooperation with Vietnam. He emphasized that, having served as Ambassador to many countries, he found that few countries have such a diverse German presence as Vietnam.

A highlight that will attract more participation this year compared to previous years is that the 2018 German Festival will be held in the area around the Ly Thai To Monument – ​​the pedestrian street area on weekends – to show a welcoming and open attitude towards the people. At the same time, the festival will feature nearly 40 booths offering diverse activities in fields ranging from culture and politics to education and sports, creating a rich program for all participants.

Ambassador Christian Berger did not forget to express his deep gratitude to the Vietnamese agencies and organizations, especially Mr. Nguyen Duc Chung – Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee and the Hanoi Cheo Theatre, for their enthusiastic support. The German Festival will start at 8 PM on Friday (November 2nd) and from 10 AM to 11 PM on Saturday (November 2nd-3rd).
