On November 15th, Starbucks opened its largest store in the world in Chicago's Magnificent Mile neighborhood. It's a five-story building spanning over 3,000 square meters.2It takes the form of a coffee roastery where customers can witness the coffee production process firsthand, from the brewing stage to the final product, and have their questions answered by baristas knowledgeable about the coffee industry. The experience is taken to the next level, enhancing the value of each cup of coffee enjoyed.

Starbucks says there are nearly 800 Starbucks locations in Chicago with over 18,000 employees, and this newly opened Chicago Roastery alone has over 200 people. The coffee shop is expected to become a tourist attraction. It features a unique design that emphasizes natural light from large windows. In the center of the store is a large steel container holding coffee beans. Surrounding it is a curved escalator, offering customers a 360-degree view of the store.

Chicago Roastery remains focused on selling coffee, offering coffee and tea products, an on-site roasting machine, and numerous large vats of freshly roasted beans. There are three coffee counters with different brewing methods, and a coffee cart called "Experience" where customers can immerse themselves in the art and science of coffee making. It's also the only place in the U.S. that sells liquid nitrogen gelato, a dessert served with coffee.

Additionally, the café has a bar with a wide variety of cocktails and serves more unique food items than other Starbucks locations. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are served at the Arriviamo bar, along with signature Chicago cocktails.

Meanwhile, Chicago Roastery has partnered with Italian bakery Rocco Princi to offer guests a wide variety of treats to enjoy while sipping a cup of coffee or tea, such as pizzas, pastries, and other delicious desserts, all freshly baked by skilled bakers.

With this new store, Starbucks has repeatedly researched and tested the design and menu to make Starbucks a third home, after the office and home. Here, customers can meet, socialize with friends, and even chat with strangers.

Researchers believe Starbucks has always been a renowned brand in the coffee industry. From its first store opened in Seattle in 1971, Starbucks has now spread almost everywhere in the world with 24,000 stores. It's even estimated that there are two Starbucks stores at every intersection in New York City: one on one corner and one on the other, to serve pedestrians walking on opposite sides of the street. And this newly opened Chicago Roastery branch will only make Starbucks even stronger.
