Recently, Ms. Nguyen Lan Ngoc, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province, signed a document sent to accommodation businesses in the province regarding the commemoration of 25 years of building and developing tourism in Binh Thuan. The document included a plan to express gratitude to tourists who have shown great affection for local tourism from 1995 to the present.

Specifically, according to Ms. Ngoc, the province will offer a two-day, one-night all-inclusive tour package to express gratitude to domestic or international tourists who have returned to Binh Thuan the most times between 1995 and 2020. Based on the list of recommendations from accommodation establishments for domestic and international tourists who have returned five or more times, the local tourism industry will send thank-you letters to each individual.
According to the Binh Thuan Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, initial reports from accommodation establishments in the area show that approximately 70% of returning guests are staying at 4-star hotels and resorts, while about 60% are returning to hotels below 4 stars. "To determine the number of guests who have returned more than five times, we need to wait for the data from all hotels and accommodation establishments," a representative from the Binh Thuan Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism stated.
In the first nine months of 2020, Binh Thuan welcomed approximately 1.9 million visitors, a decrease of 58.8% compared to the same period in 2019. Revenue from tourism activities was approximately 6,081 billion VND, a decrease of 45.9% compared to the same period.
Binh Thuan is famous for its vast stretches of sand dunes.
