“2017 was an incredible year of growth for AccorHotels in Vietnam,” said Ianic Menard, Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Distribution for AccorHotels Northeast and Southeast Asia, “and a successful year for our hotels in terms of both room numbers and brand expansion across the economy to luxury segments – this was definitely a contributing factor to the overall growth.”
AccorHotels currently manages 24 hotels in Vietnam with 5,448 rooms under the Sofitel, MGallery by Sofitel, Pullman, Grand Mercure, Novotel, ibis and ibis Styles brands in eight major cities. The group will open 15 more hotels by 2020, bringing the total to 39 hotels with an increased presence in Phu Quoc, Sa Pa, Nha Trang, Yen Tu, Ninh Binh, Quang Binh and Hanoi.
“While international tourists still make up a large proportion of our visitors, we welcome an increasing number of domestic visitors. Our top priority is to maintain the highest international standards of service, especially at our luxury brands such as Sofitel, Pullman, MGallery by Sofitel, and Grand Mercure, as well as diversify our culinary offerings,” added Mr. Menard.
