The first appearance in Ho Chi Minh City, following the success of INNSIDE HalongBay in 2017, is a testament to the group's growth in the Vietnamese market.
Vietnam is an attractive tourist destination with spectacular economic growth, infrastructure development, and convenient transportation. This makes it a potential market for the "bleisure" segment – business travelers combining tourism and leisure.
“Vietnam is rapidly becoming a leading destination for tourism and business and is a key part of our strategic focus for the Asia Pacific region,” said Bernardo Cabot Estarellas, Senior Vice President for Asia Pacific at Melia Hotels International. “In addition to our three hotels in Hanoi, Da Nang and Phu Quoc, we are delighted to bring the Meliá and INNSIDE brands to Ho Chi Minh City and expand our reach in the region.”

As the country's leading economic and financial center, Ho Chi Minh City is a bustling and vibrant city, frequently chosen as both a departure and arrival point when visiting Vietnam. With its convenient location just 6km from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, guests can easily connect to other hotels in the same chain, such as Meliá Danang, Sol Beach House Phu Quoc, etc., from all three hotels.
Located in District 1, the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, this hotel is a melting pot of diverse culinary styles, a shopping paradise, and unique spas. It's also a historically rich area, blending tradition and modernity, exemplified by colonial architecture and charming narrow alleyways. The city offers constant discoveries, with countless ancient temples and pagodas, traditional markets, and upscale shops and restaurants.
Meliá Saigon Central
Currently operating under the Amena Residence and Suites brand, this hotel will be acquired by Melia Hotels International from March this year, and will then be upgraded and renamed Meliá Saigon Central in 2019. Initially, the hotel will offer 75 rooms and will expand to 159 rooms upon official opening. Located on the Saigon River, guests can easily visit popular tourist attractions in Ho Chi Minh City such as the City Theatre, Independence Palace, Saigon Central Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, etc.

Meliá Saigon Central will offer a rich culinary experience, impeccable MICE services, and The Level, a signature feature of the Meliá brand. Amidst the vibrant and modern city life, it is an ideal stop for both business travelers and tourists visiting Ho Chi Minh City.
INNSIDE Saigon Central and INNSIDE Saigon Mariamman
The INNSIDE Saigon Central hotel will open in 2018. Following that, the INNSIDE Saigon Mariamman, formerly the Lavender Boutique Hotel, will open in 2020 after being upgraded to the highest standards. Both hotels are located in economic hubs with bustling shopping and entertainment venues.
INNSIDE's target customer group is 'worktrippers' – those who combine business and leisure travel. Choosing INNSIDE, with its 115 guest rooms and meeting facilities at INNSIDE Saigon Central and INNSIDE Saigon Mariamman with 72 guest rooms and a top-floor bar, guests will be provided with thoughtful and convenient amenities, along with professional and highly flexible services to maximize work efficiency and enjoy moments of relaxation and leisure throughout their stay.

With three new hotels entering the Vietnamese market, Melia Hotels International will continue to set standards of service quality with a unique Spanish cultural flair, meeting the growing demands of even the most discerning customers.
In 2018, Meliá Hotels International maintained strong growth in Asia, with 20 hotels in operation and 27 projects under development, and aims to double the total number of hotels in the region by 2020.
