The Sea Bubble is a white, oval-shaped hydrofoil that resembles the space shuttles seen in sci-fi movies. The aerodynamic craft can glide across the Seine at speeds of up to 30 km/h, hovering 50 cm above the water.

Running on electric batteries, Sea Bubble promises to be the ultimate in noiselessness, no waves and no CO2 emissions. It can accommodate up to four passengers and a driver, and booking is as easy as booking a ride via a smartphone app. For less than 10 EUR per ride, anyone can avoid traffic jams for just a few minutes and enjoy the French capital's views along the river.

With its outstanding advantages, the ship is gaining the approval of the French Government in the context of the country's desire to develop environmentally friendly means of transport, towards the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

After a final test run on the Seine last September, French inventor Alain Thebault hopes his hydrofoil can officially operate in 2020 as scheduled. “I want to make the Seine the center of mobility in the vast Paris with principles of respect for the environment!” - Alain Thebault shared.
