In March, Hanoi suddenly becomes so gentle. In the cool spring weather, on the tall, slender, and delicate tree trunks, the crape myrtle flowers bloom white like clouds in the sky.

These days, streets like Phan Chu Trinh, Phan Dinh Phung, and Thanh Nien in Hanoi are covered in the white blossoms of the crape myrtle tree. Throughout the year, the crape myrtle tree is unremarkable, but when the warm spring rains begin, it seems to awaken, and tiny white flowers begin to bloom.
