Indulge your passion for food and take Instagram-worthy photos in Da Lat.

Have you ever wondered what you could do with just 150,000 VND? For Thu Huong, an intern at Traveloka, that amount of money is enough to explore Da Lat from early morning to late night, with tons of delicious and affordable food and super romantic photo spots.

Start your day with Banh Can Goc Cay Bo (a type of Vietnamese pancake) and climb to the top of Langbiang mountain to watch the sunrise.

One of the most enjoyable things about visiting Da Lat is probably savoring something warm and comforting in the early morning, when the air is still slightly chilly and your breath is still clearly visible. So I chose banh can (rice flour pancakes) at the Goc Cay Bo (Avocado Tree) restaurant for breakfast. The restaurant is tiny, nestled under an avocado tree at the end of the Tang Bat Ho slope. The prices here are incredibly cheap, only 25,000 VND per plate. I sat on a small plastic chair, right next to a warm clay stove, inhaling the aroma of the hot rice flour pancake, the rich flavor of quail eggs, and the savory dipping sauce, with a touch of spicy chili to suit the Da Lat weather.

The next destination isLangbiang peak- The highest peak in the Central Highlands, reaching an altitude of 2167m. I chose this location because I'd heard that the pine forest in Da Lat is most beautiful between 8 am and 4 pm, when the sun's rays slant through the trees at a perfect 45-degree angle. If you rent a jeep to take you to the summit, you can also admire the panoramic view of Suoi Vang Lake, Da Lat city, and enjoy the fresh, cool air of the Central Highlands mountains from above. The entrance fee is only 20,000 VND + jeep rental fee to the summit is 40,000 VND per person.

Take a stroll around the Rooster Church and have lunch at the Windmill Bakery.

On your way back to the city from Langbiang, you can stop by.Chicken Church- The largest Catholic church in the city of a thousand flowers, with its towering bell tower. Every detail is meticulously carved, completely replicating the original European architecture with strong, decisive lines, arched windows, and slate tile roofs. All of this creates a cohesive and harmonious architectural style.

The Windmill Bakery is located right on Hoa Binh Street in Da Lat city. This shop is quite famous for its eye-catching facade, making it a popular spot for young people to take photos and post them on social media. The shop offers a wide variety of pastries, from chicken nuggets, char siu, shredded chicken, and more, as well as homemade drinks like peach lemonade, longan juice, and chia seed drinks. Each item costs only from 20,000 VND.

Visit Linh Phuoc Pagoda and Da Lat train station.

Linh Phuoc Pagoda is one of the largest and most beautiful pagodas in Da Lat city. What makes Linh Phuoc Pagoda unique is the millions of colorful ceramic pieces that cover the walls in traditional Vietnamese patterns. Because of this distinctive feature, the pagoda is also known as the "Ceramic Pagoda".

After leaving the pagoda, I visited Da Lat train station – one of the oldest and most unique cogwheel railway stations in Indochina. A steam locomotive manufactured in 1930 is still preserved there. Here, you can take photos with the nearly century-old train for free.

Enjoy a snack of avocado ice cream and take a stroll around Lam Vien Square.

It would be a delightful experience to enjoy a cup of ice cream on a chilly, windy day in Da Lat. I chose Thanh Thao ice cream shop – a name that's quite familiar to the locals. The avocado ice cream here is smooth and creamy, topped with a scoop of white ice cream and a little durian, making it incredibly rich and fragrant.

Leaving the ice cream shop, I visited Lam Vien Square. Located above the square is a giant sunflower sculpture over 18 meters high and covering an area of 1,200 square meters. Inside is an art performance hall with 1,500 seats, and next to the giant sunflower is a completely glass artichoke sculpture.

We had grilled rice paper for dinner and ended the day at the Underworld Market.

One of my favorite places to visit in Da Lat is eating grilled rice paper on Nguyen Van Troi Street. People often call it "crazy lady's grilled rice paper," but I don't see her as crazy at all; if you're polite and well-behaved, she'll be friendly to you. The rice paper is crispy, fragrant with spices, and rich with the flavor of cheese, sausage, etc. Eating grilled rice paper on a cold day is simply wonderful!

At the end of the day, you can take a stroll along the streets of the "Underworld Market," immersing yourself in the bustling atmosphere of this mountain town. Just wandering around and looking without buying anything is enough to make you feel relaxed and comfortable.
