Traveloka's latest data shows that searches for flights to Phu Quoc during the Maroon 5 concert ticket sales period increased tenfold compared to the previous month.

Furthermore, the number of hotel check-ins in Phu Quoc during the concert more than doubled compared to the previous week. This is an interesting development at a time when tourism in Phu Quoc is considered quite "gloomy".

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online, Caesar Indra, chairman of Traveloka, said that these figures further confirm that the presence of world-renowned bands and singers in Vietnam not only enhances Vietnam's prestige in the global music market but also creates a new wave of tourism.

Recently, concerts by popular artists such as BlackPink and Charlie Puth have attracted a diverse audience from Vietnam and across Asia.

The impact of a concert isn't limited to the venue itself; attendees also plan visits to nearby locations and contribute to the local economy through spending on accommodation, food, shopping, and transportation.

In particular, flights to Phu Quoc in the three days before the show and the day after were completely sold out as thousands of fans flocked to Phu Quoc, including a significant number of foreign spectators.

Even though Maroon 5 hasn't arrived yet, the excitement at Grand World, the "city that never sleeps," part of the United complex, has been building since the beginning of this week.

Throughout the Vinpearl hotel area, VinWonders amusement park, and other locations, familiar and popular songs by the band Maroon 5 are being played as a warm welcome.

Many tourists also came to Phu Quoc to enjoy the cool weather in the last days of the year, before the 8Wonder Winter Festival officially took place on the night of December 16th.

Present at the VinWonders amusement park, Ms. Phuong Quach, a Vietnamese-American, said that she came to Phu Quoc to see the Maroon 5 concert, and she and her friend took advantage of the opportunity to travel a few days in advance to explore, have fun, and sightsee in Phu Quoc.

What pleased this tourist most was that the cost of accommodation, entertainment, and concerts during her 4-day stay in Phu Quoc was not too high compared to the services she received.

"This is my first time in Phu Quoc and I'm truly overwhelmed because everything is so beautiful and enormous. Like the aquarium, the world's largest turtle-shaped aquarium, I was very impressed with the mermaid show and the fish feeding performance. The park here is big and even more modern than in the US," Ms. Phuong Quach told Tuoi Tre Online.

Phu Quoc Island is also starting to welcome a large number of international tourists, with amusement parks recording quite a lot of visitors from Korea, China, Eastern Europe, the US, and other countries.

Sheryl, from Singapore, said that since her children were on school break, she chose Vietnam for a 5-day vacation, spending most of it in Phu Quoc to see a Maroon 5 concert.
