The event with the theme "Return to Childhood" was held on December 16-17, 2023 at TH School, Hanoi, with activities displaying children's paintings and a talk show shared by Zen Master Minh Niem.

The opening ceremony of the "Return to Childhood" painting exhibition took place on the morning of December 16, 2023 with the participation of US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc Evans Knapper, leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training, and representatives of many agencies, departments, branches and organizations. The exhibition area is in an outdoor space with 200 paintings created by children from all over the country from 2021 to present, on many themes: environmental protection, family love, compassion, aspiration for peace...

Khu trưng bày trong không gian ngoài trời với 200 bức tranh do các em nhỏ ở mọi miền Tổ quốc sáng tác từ năm 2021 đến nay, theo nhiều chủ đề khác nhau.

The outdoor exhibition area features 200 paintings created by children from all over the country from 2021 to present, on many different themes.

Through this activity, the organizers hope to create a space for children, especially disadvantaged children, to shine with their talents, express their dreams, aspirations, and concerns for social issues. All are expressed in a simple way, with the hope that life will become better and better, the community will listen more, understand and act for a bright future for all children, especially disadvantaged children.

In addition to the painting exhibition, the program also has 2 talk shows shared by Zen Master Minh Niem, with the theme "Return to Childhood" at the opening ceremony and the theme "Painting and Awakening" at the closing ceremony, on the afternoon of December 17, 2021.

The series of activities with the theme "Return to Childhood" is part of the program "Vietnam Wishes" 2023, responding to the attention of the State, the whole society, international diplomats, especially the US Embassy for disadvantaged children. The program focuses on attracting the attention of parents in particular and the community in general for children, thereby joining hands and supporting children, especially those with serious illnesses, orphans, and disabilities...

On this occasion, the organizers awarded outstanding paintings according to each theme to 7 disadvantaged children with different circumstances. Each work is a story that the children conveyed through innocent yet profound drawings. In addition to the cash prize, the children also received a gift of an experience trip to KidZania, on the 5th floor, Lotte Mall West Lake Hanoi.

“Vietnam Wish” is organized by the Sun Program (founded by Mr. Minh Nhan) in coordination with the Hope Fund, Foreign Trade University, National Assembly Television, VnExpress Newspaper, Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Saigon Telecommunication Technology Joint Stock Company (Saigontel), KidZania Hanoi and other co-organizing units.

Impressive paintings of children.

The program started in 2021, with the initial purpose of creating a playground for children with serious illnesses, orphans, and disabled children... who were stuck due to social distancing due to Covid-19, while also creating a space to share their dreams, thoughts, and feelings. Later, the program expanded and implemented activities to spread love, listening, understanding, and care from the community for children, especially vulnerable children.

To date, the Vietnam Wish program has attracted the participation of more than 22,000 people, in direct activities such as: painting exhibitions, a series of talks with more than 500,000 views on online platforms. More than 2,000 children have been supported for treatment and thousands of gifts have been given to disadvantaged children across the country.
