New World was once a bustling shopping mall in Bangkok, Thailand. However, since a major fire in 1999 (suspected to have been set by a competitor), it has been almost completely disfigured and abandoned.

However, since being abandoned, the place has unexpectedly become an ideal destination for thousands of koi (Japanese ornamental carp) and catfish.
Chef and writer Jesse Rockwell happened to pass by the location and captured a stunning image of fish swimming in the shopping mall.
Mr. Rockwell also said that he hopes this place will become a new tourist destination because the picturesque scenery created by the fish will arouse much curiosity and interest among people.
