New World used to be a bustling shopping mall in Bangkok, Thailand. However, after a major fire in 1999 (suspected to have been set by a rival), it was almost “deformed” and abandoned by people.

However, since being abandoned, this place has suddenly become an ideal destination for thousands of koi fish (Japanese ornamental carp) and catfish.
Chef and writer Jesse Rockwell happened to pass by the location and captured this stunning image of fish swimming in the shopping mall.
Mr. Rockwell also said he hopes this place will become a new tourist destination because the poetic scenery created by the fish will make many people curious and interested.
