Initiated in 2019 and directed by Nguyen Hoang Diep, the Se Se Chu project - belonging to the O Kia and O Kia Hanoi Libraries - aims to preserve and spread the spirit of two poets Luu Quang Vu - Xuan Quynh.
Not only revolving around poetry, Se Se Chu also organizes music nights, painting exhibitions, film weeks, and artist talks... inspired by the spirit and artistic heritage left by the two late poets. It can be said that Se Se Chu is like a rain that refreshes the faded memories of a distant generation - where the audience can relive many ups and downs of emotions through poetry, drama, and storytelling.
Director Nguyen Hoang Diep shared: “Se Se Chu does not need to be an event for O Kia Ha Noi alone, it should be an event for all of us - the audience of poetry. Therefore, it should take place anywhere, with anyone who can sit down with poetry on the exact week of April 17. I really hope that anyone can become an organizer, anyone can be a participant.”
This year, Se Se Chu has handed the organizing power to the public so that they can freely express their love for Luu Quang Vu and Xuan Quynh in their own ways. The format of the Se Se Chu event can be a cozy poetry night, a poetry talk, an exhibition, a film screening, an art display, a play... inspired by the life story, career story and works of the two poets May Trang.
