Se Se Chu 2021 continues to spread love for Luu Quang Vu and Xuan Quynh.

Initiated in 2019 and directed by Nguyen Hoang Diep, the Se Se Chu project – part of the O Kia Library and O Kia Hanoi – aims to preserve and spread the spirit of the two poets Luu Quang Vu and Xuan Quynh.

Beyond poetry, Se Sẽ Chứ also organizes music nights, art exhibitions, film weeks, and a series of talks with artists... all inspired by the spirit and artistic legacy left behind by the two late poets. It can be said that Se Sẽ Chứ is like a refreshing rain that washes over the faded memories of a bygone generation – a place where audiences can relive many ups and downs through poetry, drama, and storytelling.

Director Nguyen Hoang Diep shared: “Se Se Chu doesn't need to be an event exclusive to O Kia Hanoi; it should be an event for all of us – the public of poetry. Therefore, it should take place anywhere, with anyone who can sit down with poetry during the week of April 17th. I truly hope that everyone can become an organizer, and everyone can be a participant.”

This year, Se Se Chu has handed over the organization to the public, allowing them to freely express their love for Luu Quang Vu and Xuan Quynh in their own unique ways. The Se Se Chu event could take the form of a cozy poetry night, a poetry discussion, an exhibition, a film screening, an art display, a theatrical performance... inspired by the lives, careers, and works of the two poets of May Trang.

Alongside veteran artists such as People's Artist Le Khanh, actress Chieu Xuan, Meritorious Artist Do Ky - People's Artist Lan Huong, director Nguyen Thuoc, literary critic Pham Xuan Nguyen, writer Tran Thi Truong, writer Truong Quy, musician Le Tam, poet Ham Anh, poet Da Thao Phuong, Se Se Chu 2021 also features outstanding young talents such as MC Thu Ha, MC Phi Linh, MC Le Anh... This enthusiastic response will surely be a wide-spreading wing to help Se Se Chu fly even further to the poetry-loving community.

Not just in Hanoi, this year's Se Se Chu poetry festival has reached other cities to connect kindred spirits with poetry. Each poetry event is a unique "self," a distinct "personality," yet all imbued with the public's emotional connection to art in general and to Xuan Quynh and Luu Quang Vu in particular. Each Se Se Chu poetry event promises to be a place where audiences can find a peaceful corner within themselves, a place where we can be comforted, share, and immerse ourselves in truly beautiful poems.

Specifically,Se Se Chu Hoi An - Releasing poetry on the riverIt was a night of graceful poems, sparkling in the light of lanterns, floating down the river in the heart of the poetic old town, taking place on April 16th.

Meanwhile,Se Se Chu Hai Phong - From the seaportTaking place on April 17-18, the event was a reunion of artists and writers from the same era as Luu Quang Vu, featuring special activities such as: a seminar on the influence of Hai Phong port city on Luu Quang Vu's creative life, a writing competition titled "Writing for You from the Seaport," and a poetry night in the space of Ga Sach Bui - a "cemetery" of precious old books.

ArriveSe Se Chu Saigon(April 15th and 17th), for the first time, the poems of Xuan Quynh and Luu Quang Vu were integrated into the dynamic and creative atmosphere of the Fulbright University campus, Hoa Sen University, and Tipsy Art. Poems from a bygone era were "rejuvenated" through many new and interesting expressions.

Se Se Chu Pho HoaiOn April 17th, a space dedicated to memories, themed "Xuan Quynh - Luu Quang Vu and their contemporaries," was held under the emotional guidance of writer, journalist, and artist Tran Thi Truong. Here, attendees also had the opportunity to reconnect with artists who were deeply connected to the works of the two late poets.

Se Se Chu HanoiOn April 18th, a classic, ethereal and romantic work by Luu Quang Vu will be recreated on the L'Espace stage (24 Trang Tien, Hanoi). This is where audiences can connect more closely with the art of theater and the golden works of Xuan Quynh and Luu Quang Vu. Also in Hanoi, Se Se Chu will take place at VinUni on April 15th, featuring a vibrant rose as its symbol. With the creative and unique presentation by young students, Se Se Chu at VinUni is sure to offer many surprising and exciting experiences. And Se Se Chu at Vietnam National University, Hanoi on April 19th, will invite you to feel and share the beauty of white clouds with those who love poetry.
