As autumn arrives, people often think of romantic, fairytale weddings with delicious feasts and a sweet, warm vacation. We also traveled to the North in late autumn to experience such wonderful things. After a perfect wedding, the only thing we needed to do was enjoy the amazing time in the first days of our married life.
The bus departed from Hanoi and it took about two hours to reach Got Pier. To explore Lan Ha Bay and enjoy the feeling of floating on the sea, we chose the Calypso cruise ship for our trip. After boarding, the first thing we did was enjoy a varied and beautifully presented meal.
Waking up early the next morning, I felt strangely at home, floating on the sea. The sweet scent of candles mingled with the fragrance of fresh flowers filling the bedroom, creating an incredibly relaxing atmosphere. In the corner of the table were two glasses of red wine, fruit, a chocolate-covered cake with the sweet words "Happy Honeymoon" beside two candles casting a warm, soft yellow light. Opening the large balcony door, a cool breeze and gentle sunlight streamed in, filling us with a sense of tranquility. Lan Ha Bay was still drowsy, the sky a faint reddish hue, the wind quite cool and carrying the scent of morning dew from the sea. I gazed at the woman I loved, feeling like the happiest man in the world.
After watching the sunrise in the early morning, we chose to sunbathe on the cruise ship's sundeck and participate in a Tai Chi class before breakfast. Our first activity of the day was a visit to the Military Hospital Cave – a Vietnamese field hospital from the anti-American war era. Immediately afterwards, we visited the Bright Cave and Dark Cave, a famous landmark with its cave ceiling sparkling with dew drops. Beyond the cave lies a valley in the middle of the sea, surrounded by towering limestone mountains.
Not only were we captivated by the enchanting beauty of Lan Ha Bay, but we were also drawn to the exciting experiences on our Calypso cruise. We chose kayaking to explore the mysteries of the area and enjoy some private time together as a couple.
As a long day filled with activities came to an end, the sun began to set. Gazing at Lan Ha Bay bathed in the deep purple hues of the late afternoon, we felt the rhythm of love blending with the natural scenery, the clouds, the water, and the trees. Everything seemed to be immersed in an atmosphere of harmony, romance, and happiness. After dinner, everyone sang karaoke, played games, and went squid fishing at night.
Our journey came to a halt after two days and one night at sea. Lan Ha Bay was truly beautiful, and our honeymoon was unforgettable! Although the time wasn't very long, it was incredibly meaningful for my wife and me. After returning to Hanoi, my heart still lingered on the wonderful beauty of the sea. The sweet emotions of our honeymoon remain, and I vowed that one day I would bring my wife back to fully enjoy the amazing experiences of exploring Lan Ha Bay on the Calypso cruise ship.
