Application of 3D technology at the National History Museum

On September 15, the National History Museum introduced to the public three products from technology applications including: 3D virtual interactive exhibition on "National Treasures", online museum tours (Tourday online) and educational activities "Online history lessons".

On the morning of September 15, the National History Museum held an online press conference to introduce technology applications in exhibition introduction activities at the Museum.

Speaking at the press conference, Dr. Nguyen Van Doan - Director of the National History Museum said that in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic affecting visitors' visits and experiences, the change also contributes to diversifying activities, creating attractive products, bringing different experiences.

At the event, the Museum introduced to the public 3 products from technology applications including: 3D virtual interactive exhibition on "National Treasures", online Museum tour (Tourday online) and educational activity "Online history lesson".

Specifically, the 3D virtual exhibition product "National Treasures" with 20 treasures currently kept at the Museum, with updated and supplemented introduction content, innovative approaches, serving the diverse needs of the public. In the most recent upgrade, the exhibition project has brought viewers interactions, different, new and profound experiences.

Next is the free online Museum Tour, organized by the National History Museum Volunteer Club. On September 12, the first online Museum tour took place with the theme "Following the course of history: Dai Viet culture during the Ly-Tran period". After less than 24 hours of opening registration, the event received a lot of public attention with nearly 100 guests attending via the Zoom application.

In June 2021, the Museum quickly completed and put into teaching the program "Online History Lesson" with the theme "Forever shining heroic examples", including 5 lessons to learn about young heroes such as Kim Dong, Vo Thi Sau, Ly Tu Trong, Nguyen Ba Ngoc. After only 2 days, the number of students registered for the course reached more than 500.

The application of digital technology at the National History Museum has provided visitors with a new, convenient, and diverse approach suitable for the current digital age, contributing to the gradual modernization of museum operations.
