La Veranda has the architectural design of a French villa, inspired by the family story of the resort's founder - Madame Catherine - and her connection to Phu Quoc Island as well as Indochina culture. Madame Catherine was born and raised during the peak of French colonial culture. This had a great influence on her artistic aesthetic in the design and construction of the 1920s French colonial style villa that is now La Veranda Resort.

Every detail in the resort’s 70 rooms and villas reflects the delicate, charming beauty of the French colonial period. The hand-crafted tiles, the four-poster canopy beds, along with works of art and antiques collected over the years…; all combine to bring visitors back to visit a Vietnam in the past when it was called Indochina. Each room or villa has a view of a small, pretty garden or a balcony with a breeze from the blue sea.

At La Veranda, the restaurant's chefs are passionate about creating delicious traditional Vietnamese dishes, with a subtle touch of French culinary flavors. Each dish always preserves the traditional flavor, accompanied by the typical spices of Phu Quoc island. A typical dish is the Trio of Spring Rolls, served with fish sauce according to the family recipe of Madame Thanh (Madame Catherine's grandmother); this is perhaps considered a dish with a history of more than a hundred years.

Originally built as a retirement home for Madame Catherine, La Veranda is seen as an embodiment of her family history. Every decoration in the resort reflects the emotional story of her family and offers guests a warm, intimate yet luxurious and sophisticated space.
