La Veranda boasts the architectural design of a French villa, inspired by the family story of the resort's founder, Madame Catherine, and her connection to Phu Quoc Island and Indochinese culture. Madame Catherine was born and raised during the height of French colonial culture. This greatly influenced her artistic aesthetic in the design and construction of the 1920s French-style villa that is now La Veranda Resort.

Every detail in the resort's 70 rooms and villas exudes the refined and charming beauty of the French colonial era. Handcrafted floor tiles, four-poster beds, artwork, and antiques collected over the years—all blend together to transport guests back to a Vietnam of the past, when it was known as Indochina. Each room or villa offers views of a charming garden or boasts a breezy balcony overlooking the azure sea.

At La Veranda, the restaurant's chefs are passionate about creating exquisite traditional Vietnamese dishes, subtly infused with French culinary influences. Each dish preserves its traditional flavors, complemented by the distinctive spices of Phu Quoc Island. A prime example is the Trio of Spring Rolls, served with a fish sauce made according to Madame Thanh's (Madame Catherine's grandmother) family recipe; this dish is perhaps considered to carry a history spanning over a hundred years.

Originally built as Madame Catherine's retirement home, La Veranda is considered an embodiment of her family history. All the resort's decorations reflect the rich story of her family, offering guests a warm, intimate, yet elegant and sophisticated atmosphere.
