The latest report from Agoda on Summer Travel Trends 2022 shows that Vietnam tops the list of most attractive destinations for South Korean tourists. Besides the allure of its beautiful, pristine beaches and the friendly hospitality of the Vietnamese people, the return of South Koreans to Vietnam for work after the lockdown period is also one of the reasons for Vietnam's top ranking.
At the same time, Vietnam was also included in the list of desired destinations for tourists from Japan, Thailand, and Malaysia during the summer of 2022. Meanwhile, on the ranking of countries attracting Vietnamese tourists, Thailand took the top position, followed by Singapore, France, South Korea, and Indonesia.
Domestic tourism remains the preferred choice for Vietnamese people. The favorite domestic travel destinations for Vietnamese people in 2022 include: Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hanoi, Vung Tau, Da Lat, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Ha Long, Hoi An, and Phan Thiet.
The number of South Korean tourists visiting Vietnam has increased significantly.
With international travel trends gradually stabilizing, Agoda has also revealed the top 10 most attractive destinations worldwide. Not only topping the rankings in Vietnam, Bangkok is also among the top favorite destinations globally in 2022 thanks to its relaxed entry regulations, vibrant nightlife, beautiful beaches, temples with unique architecture, diverse culture, and cuisine.
