According to The Straits Times, the museum's founders, Maryellis Bunn and Manish Vora, said it took three years to launch this international branch in Singapore.
"The Ice Cream Museum fosters imagination and creativity in everyone, and we couldn't find a better place to do this than Singapore – a vibrant melting pot of diverse cultures and a culinary paradise in the region."

The Ice Cream Museum covers an area of over 5,500 square meters.2, which includes a cafe, bar, shops, and 14 uniquely designed interactive areas. Some notable locations include: Scream's Diner, California Dreamin', Dragon Playground, Banana Split, and, of course, Sprinkle Pool – the largest area in the museum. Here, visitors can experience incredibly fun spaces while enjoying the sweet flavors of ice cream.
The Sprinkle Pool, with a depth of 600 mm, is where visitors can immerse themselves in a "sea" of colorful ice cream toppings.

Scream's Diner is a table-side ice cream area where visitors can immerse themselves in the melodies of a jukebox and take photos with vintage rotary dial telephones.

Visitors will continue to experience a nostalgic childhood atmosphere with the multi-functional Dragon Playground.

At Potong, you'll encounter giant, melting Potong ice cream cones appearing from all sides within the four pink walls.

A unique magnetic wall where visitors can unleash their creativity with letters.
Banana Split is a "forest" with 10,000 bananas hanging suspended in the air.
Relax in the California Dreamin' beach-themed room.
In addition, the museum also offers a very diverse menu. The head of MOIC Singapore, Mr. Pirakash, said the current plan is to change the ice cream flavors every three months and will add more new flavors as logistics are finalized. The museum also collaborates with local brands, from Brewlander beer to Kydra sporting goods.

The COVID-19 pandemic has posed a challenge to the reopening of the Ice Cream Museum. Mr. Pirakash stated that they will reduce the museum's capacity to 25% instead of the permitted 50% at other attractions, even as social distancing restrictions have been eased in Singapore. He added, "We will double our cleaning schedule."
The Ice Cream Museum system began to emerge in New York in 2016, then expanded to other American cities thanks to successful social media promotion. Currently, there are two branches of the Museum operating in the US, in New York and Austin; one museum in San Francisco has closed due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
