Immediately after the 17th Covid-19 patient was announced, the Hanoi Department of Tourism, together with the Department of Foreign Affairs, updated the passenger data on Vietnam Airlines flight VN0054 that landed at Noi Bai on the morning of March 2nd.
All Vietnam Airlines staff on flight VN0054 have tested negative for Covid-19.
Accordingly, 42 foreign passengers on flight VN0054 stayed at 13 hotels in Hoan Kiem and Dong Da districts: Pullman, Acoustic, Melia, Rex, Movenpick, Essence D'Orient, La Siesta Hang Be, La Siesta Trendy, Little Hanoi Diamond, 39 Tho Nhuom, Metropole, Golden Silk, and Comifer Boutique. All of these hotels have been disinfected in accordance with regulations.
As of March 9th, 10 international tourists from flight VN0054 are still staying in Hanoi and undergoing quarantine, including: Pullman Hotel (2 guests), La Siesta Hotel (2 guests), and Essence D'Orient Hotel (6 guests). These tourists are currently in stable health and have shown no unusual symptoms.
The Hanoi Department of Tourism is also coordinating with the Hanoi City Police, the People's Committees of Hoan Kiem and Dong Da districts, and the Hanoi Tourism Corporation to review and update tourist itineraries.
Following reports that some foreign tourists infected with the disease on flight VN0054 had visited several tourist attractions in Hanoi, these sites have been temporarily closed, including Hoa Lo Prison, Temple of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Quan Thanh Temple, etc. Disinfection work has also been carried out at these locations.
In addition, the Museum of Ethnology is also closed from now until March 15th, due to the 21st Covid-19 case being an employee working at the Museum.
