Halloween Horror Nights 9
From September 27th to October 31st, 2019, the biggest, award-winning, and most anticipated Halloween event in Singapore, Universal Studios Singapore's Halloween Horror Nights, will return for its 9th edition this year. This year, the event will span 16 nights, promising a completely different and fresh experience. Fans can enjoy themselves, get goosebumps, and scream their hearts out with 5 haunted houses, 2 graveyards, and 2 live shows.

The highlight of this year's event will be "Curse of the Naga." This is a haunted house version created by the famous Thai film director behind the blockbuster films "Shutter and 4bia." Fans of ghost stories and horror films in Asia attending Halloween Horror Nights this year will have the opportunity to participate in the investigation of the mysterious disappearance of several teenagers and experience the most terrifying and haunting things that engulf everything from the Langsuir house to the Toyol house and even the haunted room, The Chalet Hauntings. Despite its simple setting, The Chalet Hauntings will provide audiences with the largest collection of mysterious characters, many of the most famous in Southeast Asia, ever seen. Set against the backdrop of haunted houses, and filled with the chills of troubled clowns, haunted dolls, and parades of grotesque zombies, Halloween Horror Nights 9 is sure to deliver a unique and captivating experience.

This year's event marks Universal Studios Singapore's first collaboration with two renowned horror film directors, Parkpoom Wongpoom and Gunn Purijitpanya. Conceived in December of last year, this haunted house will lead audiences from the bustling, vibrant streets of Bangkok to an abandoned village cursed by the Naga, the spirit of a serpent.
Director Parkpoom Wongpoom shared: “It is a great honor to work with Universal Studios Singapore at Resorts World Sentosa for the annual Halloween Horror Nights event. I've been a huge fan of this unique event in previous seasons. I admire the meticulous staging, creativity, and quality of the content that created such a spooky and fantastical atmosphere, especially the houses in Adrift (2003) and Pontianak (2018), which left a strong impression on me. We have successfully built many horror art projects and programs before, but this is the first time we've participated in designing and creating a new, unique, and terrifying haunted house for the biggest Halloween event in the region. You can definitely come and experience the 'heart-stopping' thrill of Curse of the Naga!”

Director Gunn Purijitpanya also stated: “We’ve long pondered how to recreate Thai culture and horror stories that resonate with Southeast Asia and the world. And finally, we were inspired by the Naga, a mystical spirit from legends not only in Thailand but also in many other parts of Asia. Fans will play the role of a real tourist and experience the spine-chilling sensation after drinking snake blood and enduring the Naga’s ultimate vengeance. Together with the Universal Studios Singapore creative team, we will break all boundaries in delivering artistic horror experiences such as ghost stories, mystical stage settings, and countless original ghost characters. Curse of the Naga will be a hit for both long-time Asian horror fans and those who want to enjoy an impressive yet fun and exciting experience at Universal Studios this year.”

Fans who want to remove the Naga mask and uncover the secrets behind the Naga Curse can sign up for a daytime behind-the-scenes tour with a guide by purchasing an additional ticket for this program along with their Universal Studio Singapore entrance ticket.
