The harbour is also a popular breeding ground for Antarctic penguins and Weddell seals.

5. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Rio de Janeiro's harbor sits on a beautiful Brazilian bay with sparkling white sand beaches. For 16th-century Portuguese explorers, the harbor was a safe anchorage, a lucky omen after sailing the dangerous Atlantic.

6. Stockholm, Sweden
Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, is a beautiful harbor city, set on 14 islands, stretching out to Lake Mälaren, which flows into the Baltic Sea. 7. English Harbour, Antigua
English Harbour is a natural harbor at the southern tip of Antigua. The British Royal Navy established its base of operations here in the 18th century. The narrow entrance to the harbor is hard to spot, providing shelter from enemy warships. Today, the harbor is a hub for cruise ship tourists. The restored colonial buildings here give the harbor a charming charm.

Visitors can visit the old Naval base at Nelson Dockyard, which showcases workshops, buildings and other historical artifacts from the time when British naval officer Horatio Nelson was in command. On Sunday evenings, visitors can head to Shirley Heights for a band, BBQ and spectacular sunset views.
8. Vancouver, Canada
Vancouver's beautiful harbor is blessed with nature. The city is surrounded by mountains, and Stanley Park, a 1,001-acre natural paradise of native forest, is almost entirely surrounded by water, and the paths along the oceanfront are great for walking. The downtown views are stunning, especially in the fall, when the mountains and parks surrounding the harbor are ablaze with red, yellow, and orange.
