In its announcement, Airbnb stated that the rental process would take place while the McCallister family, the owners of the house, are away on their annual vacation. The stay will allow a group of up to four guests to enjoy the warm, classic, and somewhat familiar atmosphere of the "Home Alone" house. Notably, the eldest brother, Buzz McCallister, will act as the host, staying to welcome guests and personally handing over the keys to the house.

During their stay, guests will be housed in a Christmas-themed home with dazzling lights, a warm fireplace, and various decorations; they will also be free to enjoy the food and snacks available in the house, including "Chicago's best pizza."
Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to try setting snare traps – a scene from the movie "Home Alone" – and even meet a real-life hunting dog.
Of course, enjoying snacks while watching the latest movie in the "Home Alone" series, "Home Sweet Home Alone," is also a fun experience worth trying at home.
The house had been arranged and decorated by the McCallisters family to welcome guests for an overnight stay.
