Italy has issued travel advisories to its citizens traveling to multiple countries.

The most significant highlight of the update is China's visa policy. China has extended its visa-free policy for citizens of 45 countries, including 32 European nations such as France, Germany, and Spain, until December 31, 2026. Even Sweden was recently added to this list on November 10th.

Tại Trung Quốc, từ 3/11, Trung Quốc gia hạn chính sách nhập cảnh miễn visa cho công dân 45 quốc gia

In China, starting November 3rd, the country extended its visa-free entry policy for citizens of 45 countries.

Specifically for Italian citizens, from November 12th until the end of 2026, holders of ordinary passports valid for at least six months will be visa-free for up to 30 days. This policy applies flexibly to various purposes, from business and tourism to visiting relatives and transit. However, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also clearly noted the regulations regarding accommodation: guests staying in private residences must register with the local police within 24 hours of arrival, an important administrative requirement that visitors cannot ignore.

Với riêng Việt Nam, công dân Italy được miễn thị thực tối đa 45 ngày, có thể xuất cảnh và tái nhập cảnh trong thời hạn này

Specifically for Vietnam, Italian citizens are granted visa-free entry for up to 45 days, and can exit and re-enter within this period.

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Italian tourists and travel companies ensure they have accurate entry permits, verify adequate travel insurance, and plan detailed itineraries to maximize their experience in this Southeast Asian country.

Although Italian citizens still enjoy a 60-day visa-free stay in Thailand, the new advisory focuses on regional security risks. Tourists are warned to avoid border areas with Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar due to past conflicts or the risk of unexploded ordnance.

Ở Thái Lan, công dân Italy được miễn thị thực trong 60 ngày, song được khuyến cáo tránh các khu vực biên giới

In Thailand, Italian citizens are granted visa-free entry for 60 days, but are advised to avoid border areas.

Notably, southern Thai provinces such as Yala, Narathiwat, and Pattani remain under a state of emergency due to ongoing insurgency. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urges Italian citizens to exercise the utmost caution when traveling to or staying in these areas.

For a European country like Germany, the entry advisory remains unchanged, but the warning level regarding the potential risk of terrorism or violence in crowded public places, major transport hubs, and large-scale events has been increased. Italian citizens are advised to maintain a high level of vigilance, always have a contingency plan, and ensure they carry all necessary identification documents to respond to any unforeseen circumstances.

The advisory for Saudi Arabia stated that Italian citizens need visas and passports must be valid for at least six months. The focus of the warning was on security risks in border areas with Yemen, Iraq, and Bahrain, where artillery or missile attacks have been reported.

Tourists are advised to avoid large gatherings and limit travel to areas with critical energy infrastructure, in order to avoid becoming unintended targets.

According to the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, these new advisories clearly reflect two parallel trends shaping global travel. On the one hand, there is the easing of entry procedures in many countries (such as China and Vietnam) to boost trade and tourism post-pandemic. On the other hand, there is an increase in security warnings and regional instability (such as in Thailand, Saudi Arabia, and Germany) requiring travelers to be more responsible and better prepared for their international journeys. The advisory is an indispensable tool for Italian citizens to travel safely and fully.
