When deciding to hold the wedding party, My Phuong and The Manh chose aconceptdifferent, a meaningful symbolic image without being flashy or colorful.

"We both love going to the beach, and our memories are very much associated with water and the sea," said bride My Phuong. "I have always loved the image of the moonlight, because of its beauty and eternity. Every time we go to the beach at night, we always watch the moon reflecting on the sea and love that image."

"For me personally, choosing this decorative theme also has another profound meaning," My Phuong added, "The moon and the sea are two different and far apart entities (in the sky - under the sea), but somehow, the moonlight still shines down on the sea, creating a beautiful, magical space where we don't feel any distance. Love is the same, the two of us seem to be opposites but still find each other, creating a beautiful love story."

Granted I love the moonlight and the sea, but why “Starry Night”?

“We love blue and dark tones, and we don’t want a wedding that is too full of flowers or too fairytale-like to be considered “beautiful” as people think. What’s important is that the space for the party has real meaning and is most suitable for us.”

“With that in mind, after many discussions with Je T'aime Art, we had the idea of taking inspiration from van Gogh's painting to create our story, to fully express the wishes of the two people in that space” - bride My Phuong recounted the journey to the decision to recreate the painting "Starry Night".

It is known that the couple chose Je T'aime Art - an art-style wedding center in Ho Chi Minh City, as the place to send their ideas and build the space. In addition to the star-studded stage wall and floor against the deep blue sky, Je T'aime Art also created a flower boat that "captures" the moonlight.

“That is when the moon pours its light into the sea and creates a stream of happiness, that stream will make our marriage blossom and become perfect” - My Phuong said.

My Phuong added that the couple's wedding was originally scheduled for the end of last year, and they met and discussed with the wedding organizer in May 2021. However, due to the pandemic, the plan had to be postponed and the idea generation process continued from the beginning of this year. Notably, most of the materials and items used to recreate the painting "Starry Night" were handmade by Je T'aime Art, and the image was also painted with watercolors in two days to complete the party stage space.

“The way each layer of material is arranged to create an extremely impressive floating effect, making guests feel like they are standing in a giant 3D Starry Night painting” - Nguyen Thanh Luan, the person who took the couple's wedding photos, shared on Facebook.

“Add a little magical lighting and music, and the wedding took me back to those enchanting van Gogh exhibitions from across the ocean.”
