04/09/2020

Many special ingredients have been combined to create this expensive sandwich, which is valued at up to $350.

The PB&J restaurant in Chicago, USA, is serving what they claim is "the world's most expensive peanut butter and jelly sandwich" for $350 (approximately over 8 million VND).

This luxurious version of the sandwich, called "Golden Goose," includes bread topped with gold leaf, special red grape jam imported from France, all-natural peanut butter, and rare Manuka honey from New Zealand.

The owners of PB&J, brothers Matthew and Josh McCahill, came up with the idea for this expensive sandwich after they stumbled upon the previous record-holding sandwich, worth $200, during a trip. So, the two brothers decided to create something even more interesting.

Speaking about the flavor of "Golden Goose," the PB&J brothers, the owners of the shop, said that the cake looks even more beautiful when sprinkled with 24K gold flakes. The delicious berry flavor explodes with the taste of the world's most expensive Manuka honey, combined with the nutty flavor of peanut butter, creating a truly unique dish. To enjoy "Golden Goose," customers need to order 24 hours in advance. This allows the chefs enough time to prepare the ingredients and deliver the most authentic flavor.

According to the shop owner, a percentage of the proceeds from the cake will be donated to "Chicago Hopes for Kids," a charity that supports the education of children living in homeless shelters.

Another interesting fact is that although the peanut butter sandwich has become the "star" item of PB&J restaurants, the name PB&J actually stands for Pizza, Beer, and Jukebox.
