Known for its stunning natural wonders nestled in the narrow strip of land in South America, Chile boasts a diverse landscape and climate, making it a satisfying destination for both adventurous and relaxing travelers. With the goal of further boosting the country's tourism industry, the Chilean government recently agreed to include tours exploring the wild nature of Patagonia in its tourism offerings.

The journey to explore the Patagonian wilderness will be an experience connecting 17 national parks in Chile, with a total area of up to 120,000 km².2This journey will help visitors learn more about the nature, landscapes, rivers, and rich flora and fauna of Chile in particular and South America in general.

The Patagonia trek is considered a challenging journey, with its mountainous terrain, vast area, sparse population density, and pristine nature.

To assist tourists, the Chilean government has created the website www.rutadelosparques.org, which provides comprehensive information on routes, exploration itineraries, rest stops, supply stations, maps, and SOS emergency numbers.
