Quang Ninh's tourism sector is showing a strong recovery, with a total of 4.85 million visitors in the first quarter of 2023, 2.3 times higher than the same period in 2022. This is thanks to the accelerated development of high-class resort complexes on Tuan Chau Island and Hon Gai, along with cruise products exploring the heritage site of Ha Long Bay and many other attractive destinations such as the Quang Ninh Museum, Bai Chay beach, and Sun World Ha Long Park.
This year, with the goal of welcoming 15 million tourists, including 2 million international visitors, the sectors, localities, and tourism businesses in Quang Ninh have been actively promoting the development of new and attractive tourism products. Among these, in addition to 39 new tourism products expected to launch this year, the Paradise Delight luxury cruise ship and restaurant, combined with the first-ever art performance show in Vietnam, launching during the April 30th - May 1st holiday, is expected to create a strong boost for the tourism market in Ha Long in particular and Quang Ninh in general.
As a new 5-star international standard product from Paradise Vietnam Group - the leading luxury cruise brand in Ha Long Bay, Paradise Delight offers a luxurious culinary experience along with the first multimedia art show directed by Hoang Nhat Nam in the bay of wonders.
Paradise Delight boasts two luxurious restaurants offering a first-of-its-kind fine-dining experience on the heritage bay.
This cruise ship boasts a capacity of up to 360 guests and features two luxurious restaurants, El Loto and El Jazmin, both exuding sophisticated European style with infinity arch windows on either side offering panoramic views of the stunning bay. While El Loto on the first deck offers a buffet experience with over 100 delicious dishes featuring European and Asian flavors, El Jazmin on the second deck serves exquisite set menus and fine beverages. The dishes are prepared by a team of talented chefs who have received training and guidance from Michelin-starred chefs.
In addition to the two restaurants, Paradise Delight also features Rosa Terrace, where European aristocratic-style canapé parties are served along with fine champagne while enjoying the bayfront views from the cruise ship's spacious sundeck.
The diverse buffet menu on the cruise ship features over 100 delicious European and Asian dishes.
Both restaurants are equipped with modern stages featuring large LED screens and state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems, meeting the requirements for hosting large-scale events such as conferences, seminars, corporate parties, weddings, and anniversaries. This will be the venue for performances by domestic and international bands, and especially for the "Dance of the Sea" art show directed by Hoang Nhat Nam – the man behind the success of many popular art and entertainment programs. Through multimedia storytelling – combining music, lighting, lasers, and various dance forms – visitors can explore the legend of the dragon and the fairy, the endless beauty of the natural landscape, and the lives of the fishermen in this floating fishing village.
Currently, Paradise Delight cruises offer 4-hour cruises along the heritage bay, including a full package of high-end culinary experiences and exclusive live shows, starting from VND 1,550,000 per person. Guests can also choose a Paradise Delight cruise combo combined with a stay at the upscale boutique hotel Paradise Suites on Tuan Chau Island, starting from VND 2,150,000 per person.
Following news that the first cruise ship combining restaurant and art shows in Vietnam is about to launch in Ha Long Bay, British tourist Matthew Hunter James shared: “I’ve been to Ha Long Bay two or three times, but the activities were quite familiar, mainly sightseeing, swimming, and some local activities. I’ve been on Royal Caribbean International cruises before, and they have many entertainment activities, music, and even reenactments of award-winning Broadway shows right on board, giving tourists a complete and enjoyable holiday. That’s why my friends and I are very excited to experience this new type of cruise ship combining restaurant and art shows in Ha Long Bay.”
Tourists can enjoy the first multimedia art show on a Halong Bay cruise and artistic performances by local and international bands.
“With the launch of the Paradise Delight luxury cruise ship, Paradise Vietnam has pioneered in offering travelers a high-end dining and entertainment experience during their exploration of Ha Long Bay in particular and Vietnam in general. At the same time, we expect Paradise Delight, with its large capacity and state-of-the-art stage equipment, to become a unique and attractive destination for large-scale events, contributing to the development of MICE tourism in Ha Long Bay,” said Mr. Lee Montefrio Palaganas, Director of Cruise Operations at Paradise Vietnam.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, regarding the introduction of new tourism products, relevant departments, localities, and tourism businesses need to prepare the best possible conditions in terms of the tourism business environment, products, and service quality to welcome visitors in the coming time. This includes focusing on improving the quality of new, attractive, diverse, and rich tourism products, ensuring security and order, and food safety and hygiene… in order to provide the best experiences for tourists.
This new type of cruise is expected to contribute to diversifying tourism products in Ha Long Bay and attract international tourists to Quang Ninh, especially those from Asian markets who prefer entertainment and culinary experiences, including high-proportion markets such as China, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and India.
Besides Paradise Delight, Paradise Vietnam Group owns the largest and most luxurious system of cruise ships and hotels in Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay, notably the overnight cruise ships Paradise Elegance, Paradise Peak, Paradise Sails (Ha Long Bay), Paradise Grand (Lan Ha Bay), and the boutique hotel Paradise Suites on Tuan Chau Island. In the near future, Paradise Vietnam plans to continue researching and launching more product lines to cater to the diverse experiences of international tourists, contributing to the development of tourism in Ha Long Bay in particular and Vietnam in general.
