With its multicultural design and capacity for up to 1,288 guests, REVER Cruise has officially docked at Saigon Port – Nha Rong Wharf. The cruise ship is expected to offer a relaxing experience in the heart of the city, allowing visitors to explore Saigon from the river – one of the most emotionally rich perspectives of the metropolis. The event was attended by leaders representing central government agencies and departments of Ho Chi Minh City.

The launch of REVER Cruise takes place amidst the strong growth potential of waterway tourism in Ho Chi Minh City. According to statistics from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, in the first 10 months of 2025, the city welcomed over 6.5 million international visitors and over 33 million domestic visitors, generating total revenue exceeding 208,000 billion VND.
In particular, since the merger, the number of cruise tourists to the city has increased by 10-15% year-on-year. Many experts also believe that the trend of wellness and nature-based tourism is driving the development of cruise products. Data from Statista estimates that the revenue of the Vietnamese cruise market will increase to US$7.31 million in 2025.
Commenting on the launch event, Mr. Tran Ngoc Dong Quan, Head of the Travel Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, stated: “The launch of REVER Cruise has contributed to diversifying tourism products, promoting the night economy and high-quality tourism in the city. This is proof of the efforts and partnership of businesses in promoting river tourism – one of the key strategies of Ho Chi Minh City tourism in the coming time. We believe that REVER Cruise will become one of the attractive products, bringing new experiences to domestic and international tourists; contributing to affirming the brand of the city's tourism destination: vibrant - youthful - open.”
REVER Cruise is built with a length of 120 m and a total area of 10,000 m².2and 5 service decks. The design is inspired by cultural fusion, reflected in the name REVER, a combination of "river" and "rêver" (dream). The cruise ship is presented as offering a journey of exploration of space and culture, with exquisite interiors inspired by various cultures.
The service floors include: floors 1 & 2 with spaces such as the REVER HALL inspired by the City Post Office, the PRESIDENTIAL SUITE with an Indochinese feel, and REVERYUN recreating Hong Kong in the 1960s; floor 3 includes VIP rooms such as REVERANAM honoring Hue's royal court culture and REVERRIGAS with a Western-infused Vegas style; floor 4 features REVERABAT with Moroccan architecture and the large REVERANGA banquet hall with ancient Champa influences; floor 5 is the entertainment area with REVER SKY LOUNGE in the style of ancient Egypt and a 1,100 m² SUNDECK.2with a 360-degree view.
As a culinary cruise ship, REVER Cruise focuses on balancing international and local cuisine. The menus at the restaurants are diverse, ranging from seafood buffets and à la carte dishes to Chinese-influenced cuisine, European-American influences, and Vietnamese culinary traditions. Mr. Bui Duc Vien, General Director of REVER Cruise, shared: “REVER is not just a cruise ship, but an aspiration to continue the spirit of integration and prosperity of Ho Chi Minh City.
