Cruise ships and airlines will bring a wave of tourists to Central Vietnam in 2025.

The year 2025 marks a new milestone in the development of tourism in Central Vietnam. Thousands of international tourists chose to visit popular tourist destinations such as Da Nang, Hoi An, and Binh Dinh. This impressive number demonstrates the ever-increasing appeal of the Central region to international visitors.

On the morning of January 1st, 2025, Hoi An city welcomed the first group of 18 visitors from Italy to the ancient town of Hoi An in 2025 at the Japanese Bridge area. Following a grand welcoming ceremony, the group toured the ancient town of Hoi An, admiring its many well-preserved historical architectural structures and experiencing cultural and artistic activities, as well as demonstrations of traditional local crafts.

At Phu Cat Airport, the Department of Tourism of Binh Dinh province organized a ceremony to welcome the first tourists to visit the "land of martial arts and literature" in the new year 2025. Accordingly, Vietnam Airlines flight VN1392 from Ho Chi Minh City brought a total of 180 passengers, including 8 foreign passengers, to Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh). The Department of Tourism randomly selected tourists on the flight to present them with flowers, commemorative gifts, and New Year greetings for 2025.

Similarly, at Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, a ceremony was held to welcome the first group of visitors to the world natural heritage site. The first group consisted of 68 people, including 36 international visitors from Malaysia, Australia, Japan, Canada, and the United Kingdom, and 32 domestic visitors from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Quang Ninh, and Nghe An.

In addition, at the domestic and international arrival terminals of Da Nang International Airport, a welcoming ceremony was held for tourists arriving by air. The Department of Tourism prepared nearly 1,000 service experience vouchers to give to the first tourists arriving in Da Nang. On the first day of 2025, Da Nang International Airport welcomed 125 flights, including 57 international flights.

Welcoming a large number of international tourists to Vietnam during the 2025 Lunar New Year is not only good news for the tourism industry but also makes a significant contribution to the country's socio-economic development. The tourism industry has been creating many jobs, increasing people's income, and promoting the image of the country to the international community.
