21/07/2021

Far from the usual exhibitions, Mirages & Miracles offers viewers a completely new experience. Using science and technology, the authors breathe life into silent works of art.

When it comes to augmented reality (AR), most people think of video games or home tours. So what happens when this technology is applied to art? Visitors to the Scène Nationale Albi exhibition center will have the opportunity to experience art in a completely new way.

Titled Mirages & Miracles, the exhibition is a combination of painting, sculpture and AR technology. This combination brings a new look to the existing works of art.

The idea for this unique exhibition was conceived by the artist duo Claire Bardainne and Adrien Mondot a long time ago. To be able to carry out this exhibition, a team of artists and engineers must have a deep understanding of AR technology.

Engineers have used augmented reality drawings, 3D images combined with large-scale projections to create vivid works of art. Through smart devices, images come to life, playing with silent paintings and sculptures.
