Thong Nhat Park, the largest park in the capital, will transition from "closed" to "open" with the removal of barriers and the elimination of entrance fees.

Hanoi City has just issued a plan for the renovation, upgrading, and construction of parks and gardens in the city from 2021 to 2025, which includes a change in direction for Thong Nhat Park. Alongside Bach Thao and Thu Le parks, Thong Nhat will also be prioritized for the comprehensive renovation and upgrading of key areas and dilapidated areas, creating a distinctive architectural and landscape feature.

According to the Hanoi Department of Construction, the city has assigned relevant units to carry out the renovation and upgrading of Thong Nhat Park, specifically: reviewing the detailed planning, researching and evaluating its suitability in the direction of an open park for easy public access, and not charging an entrance fee...

According to Hanoi city leaders, along with the removal of the surrounding fence, Thong Nhat Park will also be "opened up" in terms of management mechanisms and upgrades, thereby creating a pedestrian space along Tran Nhan Tong street, enhancing the value of the landscape in the central area of ​​Hanoi.

In addition, alongside the above plan, during the 2021-2025 period, Hanoi will upgrade and renovate 45 existing parks and gardens, while urging investors to accelerate progress and complete Chu Van An Park (project 2 - architectural works), CV1 Park, the Southwest Hanoi Urban Area Park, Kim Quy Cultural Park, Phung Khoang Lake Park, and the cultural, entertainment, and sports park in Ha Dong district.
