The Cuban Ministry of Transport has affirmed that the country's ports are ready to receive foreign visitors and have implemented strict epidemiological screening measures to ensure health safety.
Following Cuba's latest announcement of reopening to international tourists, the British cruise line Ambassador Cruise Line promptly announced that it will launch the "Cuba and the Treasures of the Caribbean" tour in January 2023. The itinerary is expected to include overnight stays in Havana and Santiago de Cuba.
With the pandemic situation in Cuba now well under control, reopening to international tourists is hoped to gradually revive the country's coastal tourism industry in the coming months.

The complex developments of the Covid-19 pandemic globally and the unilateral sanctions imposed by the United States have hampered the revival of Cuba's tourism industry. However, Cuba is making tremendous efforts to achieve its goal of reopening the country and gradually returning to being an attractive destination for any traveler seeking peace and tranquility.
The Cuban government, particularly its healthcare sector, is working tirelessly to help the country recover from the Covid-19 pandemic. Before the pandemic, Cuba regularly welcomed a large number of tourists from the UK, Germany, and the US via cruise ships.
