Da Lat resumes tourism activities after 2 months.

09/09/2021

After two months of implementing strict pandemic prevention and control measures, Da Lat has recently reopened essential services and eased restrictions on intra-provincial tourism.

On the afternoon of September 8th, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province issued a document allowing the operation of certain services related to COVID-19 prevention and control in the new normal context.

Accordingly, from 5 PM on September 8th, some activities and services are allowed to resume operation with the following considerations:

- Physical exercise and sports activities (indoor sports activities are limited to a maximum of 50% of the usual number of people);

- Haircutting and beauty services (1 staff member + 1 customer) will operate at only 50% capacity compared to normal days (for facilities with 2 or more active beds/chairs);

- Food and beverage establishments (including street food stalls) must serve no more than 50% of their usual capacity at any given time (only a maximum of 50% of tables and chairs may be used);

- Supermarkets and markets must maintain a 2-meter distance between individuals and serve no more than 50% of the usual number of customers at any one time.

- Allow the reopening of intra-provincial tourism activities for tourist attractions and accommodation establishments of 2 stars or higher. Establishments must ensure no more than 2 people per room; occupancy rate must not exceed 50%.

According to this document, service establishments must continue to require customers to declare electronically and adhere to the 5K (Disease Prevention, Control, and Management) guidelines. People should limit going out between 10 PM and 5 AM the following morning.

Officials, civil servants, and public employees will continue to work as usual at their offices, but will continue to limit internal contact within the agency unless absolutely necessary; government agencies are allowed to conduct business trips to localities, but must ensure a small contingent of personnel.

Government agencies are permitted to receive visitors for work and transactions, but only in cases where it is absolutely necessary. Agencies must arrange a separate reception area from the workspace (visitors must have a valid negative Covid-19 test certificate).

Currently, Lam Dong province has basically controlled the Covid-19 epidemic, with no new positive cases recorded in the community; the risk of disease mainly comes from drivers and assistants transporting goods and citizens returning from areas with outbreaks. Lam Dong is also a locality that did not apply directives 15 and 16 in its epidemic control activities, but only adjusted social activities through documents corresponding to the progress of the epidemic at each time.
