Nhi Thanh Cave is a natural cave over 500 meters long, discovered and developed by the renowned scholar Ngo Thi Si when he served as the governor of Lang Son from 1777 to 1780. It is a very famous natural landmark in Lang Son province. The cave boasts a striking contrast between the rugged, solid limestone formations and the gentle, flowing Ngoc Tuyen stream. Inside, visitors will encounter incredibly winding passages. Despite being deep within the mountain, the atmosphere is not stuffy at all; on the contrary, it is very cool and pleasant.
The majestic scenery inside the cave is enhanced by the combination of electric lights and echoing sounds. The deeper we go into the cave, the more beautiful stalactites and stalagmites we encounter, with bizarre shapes that stimulate the human imagination.

Tam Thanh Pagoda holds immense cultural and artistic value. It still preserves poems and prose by our ancestors. The pagoda is also famous among tourists from near and far for its white Amitabha Buddha statue, skillfully carved into the rock face in a standing posture within the shape of a Bodhi leaf.
Deep inside Tam Thanh Cave, visitors will be amazed by the dreamy scenery of clear blue lakes and waterfalls cascading day and night. One of them is Am Ty Lake - the most beautiful lake in the Tam Thanh cave complex. The lake's water is a beautiful emerald green all year round, covered with stunning stalactites.
Tourists should choose early spring to visit Lang Son province, as this is when Lang Son holds its festivals, including the Tam Thanh Pagoda Festival on the 15th day of the first lunar month. At this festival, visitors will experience the diverse ethnic culture with many cultural and religious rituals from the ethnic minority communities in the highlands.

Nhi - Tam Thanh Scenic Area
Located in the limestone mountain range northwest of Lang Son city (in Tam Thanh ward, Lang Son city), this area covers over 52 hectares and boasts fascinating natural caves. According to geologists, this region belongs to the Triassic system, and the rock formations and caves are known to have been created a long time ago, approximately 360 to 245 million years ago. In 1962, during the first ranking of national monuments in Vietnam, the Nhi-Tam Thanh complex was classified as a national monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism due to its outstanding scenic and historical-cultural values.
