Blue woolly bean flowers are the state flower of Texas. Growing in the arid lands of the American West, they are remarkably resilient. Each year in early April, vast fields of blue woolly bean flowers begin to bloom in Central and Southern Texas, a breathtaking sight.

Józef Mehoffer was one of the most respected Polish painters of his time, and his house in Jankówka near Kraków is an important part of his legacy. The house has a charming old-fashioned style and was decorated by him with exquisite elegance.

After his death, his family donated the Mehoffer House to the State Treasury, and it eventually came into the possession of the National Museum in Kraków. The Mehoffer House has been open to the public since 1996 as a museum dedicated to the renowned painter. This painting depicts the large courtyard of the Mehoffer House in full bloom during spring.

Godfrey Rivers, an English artist working in Australia at the time, depicted himself and his wife, Selena, drinking tea under a tall, magnificent jacaranda tree in full bloom.

This jacaranda tree holds a very special place in Australia because it was one of the first jacaranda trees planted from seeds imported from South America in 1864. Many jacaranda trees in the suburbs of Brisbane today are descendants of this first tree.
