To better serve the people and tourists attending the Hung Kings Commemoration Ceremony, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City has announced that the Hung Kings Temple will have more flexible opening hours than usual. Accordingly, from April 5th to 7th, the temple will be open from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, making it convenient for everyone to offer incense and pay respects to the Hung Kings. Compared to the usual operating hours of 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, this extended opening time demonstrates the local government's special attention to this important event.
The Hung Kings Commemoration Ceremony in 2025 will be held on April 7th (corresponding to the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month) at the Hung Kings Temple in Binh Thuy District, Can Tho City. The ceremony will be conducted solemnly, expressing reverence and gratitude to the kings who founded the nation. Activities within the festival aim to promote patriotism, connect with national roots, and encourage unity in building a prosperous and beautiful Vietnam. Simultaneously, it will contribute to the preservation and promotion of the nation's traditional cultural values.
The Hung Kings Temple in Can Tho City will be open to the public and tourists attending the Hung Kings Commemoration Ceremony from April 5-7, 2025 (from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM).
In addition to the main ceremonies, the festival also features many unique cultural and artistic activities. Visitors will have the opportunity to visit the photo exhibition "Can Tho Literature and Art: 50 Years (1975 - 2025)", enjoy free vegetarian food, and admire traditional Vietnamese costumes (Viet Phuc) in a parade from the Hung King Temple to the Southern Folk Cake Festival area. These activities not only enrich the festival atmosphere but also introduce the distinctive cultural beauty of Can Tho to visitors.
The event also included a photo exhibition titled "Literature and Art of Can Tho over 50 Years (1975 - 2025)".
