With the Hung Kings Commemoration Day holiday in 2025 lasting three days (from April 5th to April 7th), Vietnamese tourists are increasingly seeking diverse experiences that combine relaxation and cultural adventure.
The list of the top 10 most searched domestic destinations for Vietnamese tourists during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day holiday, according to a survey by Booking.com, was announced on March 20th. Based on accommodation searches (check-in dates from April 4th to 7th), Da Nang was the most popular destination with a significantly higher search volume. The remaining destinations were Da Lat, Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau, Hanoi, Hue, Phu Quoc, Hoi An, and Mui Ne.
Da Nang topped the search list, followed by Da Lat, Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, and Vung Tau.
Commenting on this metric, Varun Grover, Country Director of Booking.com in Vietnam, noted that Vietnamese travelers this year prefer diverse explorations with destinations stretching from the North to the South, including beaches, mountains, and urban areas.
In addition, Booking.com also announced a survey of the top 10 most searched destinations by Vietnamese travelers based on flight searches on the app during the same period. Da Nang continues to lead the list, followed by Cam Ranh with the advantage of many flight routes, beautiful beaches, and mild weather. The two major cities, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, ranked 3rd and 4th respectively. The remaining positions include Phu Cat, Da Lat, Hue, Phu Quoc, Tuy Hoa, and Vinh.
Besides domestic destinations, Vietnamese tourists are also interested in international destinations during this holiday season, with the Asia-Pacific region being a top priority. With the criteria of being suitable for short trips but offering diverse experiences and reasonable costs, Bangkok (Thailand) continues to be the top choice for Vietnamese travelers; followed by Tokyo (Japan), Seoul (South Korea), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Singapore, Osaka (Japan), Hong Kong (China), Ubud (Indonesia), and Taiwan (China).
