The Caravelle Saigon Hotel has held a special place in the heart of the city since its official opening on Christmas Day 1959. That was when the Caravelle Saigon welcomed its first guests, excited to admire the tallest and most modern hotel in the area at the time.

This May, Caravelle Saigon will celebrate its 60th anniversary by opening new rooms on floors 8 to 12 of the Opera Wing. These rooms, starting at 38.5m², feature luxurious amenities and bathrooms fully clad in imported marble. Large, soundproof windows provide ample natural light and stunning views of the city center, the historic City Opera House, and the winding Saigon River.

Throughout the two decades of conflict following its opening, the Caravelle Saigon became a stopover for journalists, war correspondents, and soldiers seeking rest and relaxation, and also served as the headquarters of the Australian and New Zealand Consulates. To this day, the Caravelle Saigon remains a second home for guests seeking nostalgia or anyone wishing to experience the world-class service of a modern five-star hotel. While its historical value remains at the core of the Caravelle, this never detracts from the hotel's elegance and quality of service.

Each room features a 49-inch Samsung flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi access, and modern furnishings while maintaining the warm, comfortable ambiance that Caravelle is known for. For larger spaces, consider the Signature Premium or Signature Studio rooms, offering expanded living and working areas perfect for extended business trips or vacations.

Furthermore, the event spaces on the 2nd and 3rd floors are also included in Caravelle's upgrade plan. All 10 of Caravelle's event spaces have now been comprehensively upgraded with new lighting systems, state-of-the-art sound and projection technology, new air conditioning, and beautiful interiors. These upgrades will contribute to making Caravelle Saigon the top choice for wedding receptions, dinner parties, meetings, and conferences in the city.

At the heart of the main event spaces is the 300m² Ballroom with a ceiling height of 4.7 meters. The Ballroom can be flexibly arranged to accommodate various types of events and can host parties of up to 400 guests.

In addition to its luxurious carpeting, comfortable seating, and impressive surround sound system, the Ballroom can be easily divided in two by a removable partition. Furthermore, the four smaller Opera rooms overlooking the City Theatre have also been upgraded. Floor-to-ceiling windows enhance natural light and offer unique city views.

More specifically, all event spaces are equipped with state-of-the-art lighting systems and 4K and Ultra HD audio and projection technology to optimize the experience for event attendees. In addition, the 180m² lobby located between the Ballroom and the Opera rooms can be used to significantly increase event capacity when needed. It also provides a luxurious and convenient space for event breaks, refreshments, and networking activities.

It can be confidently stated that all the changes to the Caravelle event space in terms of interior decoration and amenities have transformed the hotel into the perfect venue for any type of event you can think of.
