Caravelle Saigon Hotel has held a special place in the heart of the city since its official opening on Christmas Day 1959. That was when Caravelle Saigon welcomed its first guests, excited to admire the tallest and most modern hotel masterpiece in the area at that time.

This May, Caravelle Saigon will celebrate its 60th anniversary by opening new rooms on floors 8 to 12 of the Opera Wing. Rooms range in size from 38.5m², with luxuriously designed amenities and bathrooms clad entirely in imported marble. Large soundproof windows provide natural light and offer stunning views of the city centre, the historic Opera House and the winding Saigon River.

During the two decades of conflict that followed its opening, Caravelle Saigon became a stopover for journalists, war correspondents, soldiers seeking rest and relaxation, and also the headquarters of the Australian and New Zealand Consulates. To this day, Caravelle Saigon remains a second home for guests seeking a bit of nostalgia or anyone wanting to experience the high-class service of a modern five-star hotel. Each room features a 49-inch Samsung flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi and modern furnishings, while maintaining the warm, comfortable feel for which the Caravelle is known. Central to the main event spaces is the 300m² Ballroom with a ceiling height of 4.7m. The Ballroom can be flexibly configured for a variety of events as required and can accommodate parties of up to 400 guests.

In addition to the luxurious carpet design with comfortable seating space and impressive surround sound system, the Ballroom can also be divided into two easily removable partitions. In addition, 4 smaller Opera rooms with views of the City Theatre have also been upgraded. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows increase natural light and provide a unique view of the city.

More specifically, all event spaces are equipped with new lighting systems and 4K and Ultra HD sound and projection technology to optimize the experience of event attendees. In addition, the 180m² lobby space located between the Ballroom and Opera rooms can be used to significantly increase the event capacity when needed.
