Located about 100 km from Vienna, the capital of Austria, at the foot of the Alps, the village of Saint Corona has a population of only 400 people. It is notable for its seasonal tourism activities, fresh air, and rich ecosystem, which are also the main sources of income for Saint Corona. In winter, visitors can come here for relaxation and skiing. In summer, there are many exciting activities such as mountain biking, hiking in the forest, or tobogganing. Saint Corona is ideal for family trips of 2-3 days, especially suitable for families with children aged 5-10.

The village's mascot in its tourism promotion campaign is an ant wearing sportswear named Corona. Initially, when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, people found it amusing that the village's name coincided with the name of the coronavirus. But with the current serious pandemic situation, the village has become deserted and quiet. Village chief Michael Gruber is planning to change the mascot's name, and even the village's name.

Michael Gruber said: “At first people found it quite funny and interesting, but now we can’t laugh anymore.” He added to AFP: “Perhaps the village will change the mascot’s name in the latest promotional campaign. We hope to attract more tourists here.”

The resorts and hotels have been upgraded.
In addition, the village is also renovating many guesthouses, buildings, and tourist attractions to ensure the best possible service for visitors after the new pandemic is implemented. Preventive measures such as disinfection, increased availability of masks and hand sanitizer are also being ensured to make tourists feel as safe as possible.
