Ea Cuor Kap Lake is located right south of Buon Ma Thuot Airport, only about 2 km as the crow flies, but by road you have to go around, following Highway 27 towards Lak for quite a distance before there is a turnoff to village 9, Eatul commune. From the airport gate on Highway 27 to Nha Ben Ho is about more than 10 km.
National Highway 27 in the suburbs of Buon Ma Thuot, both sides are covered with lush green forests. From the National Highway, turn into Hamlet 9, Eatul Commune, the nameless winding road continues through the rubber forests, entering the residential area of Hamlet 9, then encountering... a matrix of small concrete roads, intertwined like a chessboard. The address also has no specific house number or street name, we had to ask Google for directions, after the homeowner "shot" us the coordinates.
The gate of the Lake House is extremely simple, the fence is even simpler than that. But it turns out that it was the homeowner's intention, because hidden behind the gate and fence is an interesting secret. More than a garden, it is a peaceful green area.
The entrance is simple, without even a nameplate.
The owner of Nha Ben Ho is a person who has traveled a lot, experienced many lands both domestically and internationally, and has a talent for garden design and decoration, so she wanted to create a resort with a green and clean space, so that visitors can recharge their energy before returning to the hustle and bustle of life.
“Secret haven” behind the white wall
The owner of Lake House admits that she is a "picky" person and wants to create an airy space by the lake, so the construction area is quite small.
The total area of the land is about 1,000 m2There are only two small houses built along the lake: a one-story tiled-roof house; a two-story wooden house close to the lake's edge with the ground floor used as a common living space, surrounded by the wind from Ea Cuor Kap Lake.

The first floor is the living space, the second floor is the bedroom.
The two gates are only unlocked when an adult is present, ensuring the safety of children playing in the garden.
The remaining spacious area is covered with trees, lawns and lush green vegetable beds, along with a Koi fish pond parallel to the tiled roof house.
In the middle of the garden is a large avocado tree. The homeowner built a hexagonal wooden floor around the tree trunk, creating a nap spot with the melodious sound of wind chimes hanging on the branches.
Every afternoon, sitting on the balcony of the wooden house sipping a can of beer, looking at the purple lake as the last rays of light gradually fade, only then can one fully appreciate the peace and tranquility of this place.

Although the owner of Nha Ben Ho admits that she is "difficult", she is very willing to "play tricks" for guests to have fun and relax. She often decorates the entire garden in the spirit of each season of the year: Spring reunion, Endless Summer,...
The Lake House has only 3 bedrooms in total, but can accommodate up to 8 adults and 4 children, as it also has a tent set up on the lawn - for those who want to watch the stars or the sky before falling asleep.
In each wardrobe in the bedrooms, in addition to the compartment for guests' clothes, the owner of Nha Ben Ho also designed a separate compartment filled with dresses, ao dai, evening gowns, costumes of princesses, village girls... in many sizes and free of charge, for female guests who want to add uniqueness when checking in by the lake.
In addition to a variety of "props" for performing recreational activities on the shore, Nha Ben Ho is also equipped with items for water activities such as SUP, buoys, etc.
The hostess shared her opinion: "The food may not be much, but it must be delicious." Therefore, despite being a homestay model, Nha Ben Ho prepares full breakfast and afternoon tea (free) for guests. For main meals, you can take care of them yourself or ask the homestay to order from suppliers that are guaranteed to be delicious, clean, and safe.
The homestay owner is also a good cook. One day in Buon Ma Thuot, it suddenly rained, and she was free and in the mood, so she cooked and invited us for a free meal. The food was beautifully presented - and of course delicious, with famous ingredients of this place.
Butterfly season in the garden
March and April are beautiful times in the Central Highlands - the season of yellow butterflies. The same goes for House by the Lake Ea Cuor Kap.
All year round, yellow butterflies hide in the leaves and crevices of trees. Only at the end of the dry season, when the weather is about to change, do they rush out of their cocoons to breathe the fresh air. That is why the yellow butterfly season in the Central Highlands only occurs once a year, lasting for a short period in April.
This type of butterfly often forms cocoons on the muong trees - which are grown a lot in the Central Highlands. Nha Ben Ho does not plant muong trees, but the owner planted hibiscus bushes along the length of the lake to the entrance gate, and the butterflies follow these flower bushes and flutter around the garden. The homestay therefore still has a lot of butterflies to watch and take pictures of, but there are no muong caterpillars crawling all over the house, causing trouble for many visitors from afar.
Butterflies landed on the flower bushes and grasses that the owner had planted all over the garden. Every time someone passed by, they fluttered around wildly - becoming a pastime for Kem and Ni, the two little princesses in this garden (whom readers must remember meeting when they were young).climbing Chu Nam mountainin Gia Lai years).
