Mr. Nguyen Vu Linh - Director of Bach Ma National Park (Phu Loc district, Thua Thien-Hue province) - said that the road leading to the top of Bach Ma was seriously eroded after the recent heavy rain.
Accordingly, from October 15 to 17, the rainfall in Bach Ma National Park was measured at 990 mm, the highest in Thua Thien-Hue province. Heavy rain caused a serious landslide on the road from the foot of the mountain leading to the top of Bach Ma at km 13 (about 6 km from the top) on October 17.

The landslide area is about 55 meters long and more than 50 meters deep, completely destroying the embankment and road surface and cutting off the entire route from the foot of the mountain to the top of Bach Ma. Vehicles cannot pass through this section of road because it is extremely dangerous.
The landslide not only stopped the transportation of tourists by car and motorbike to the top of this famous tourist attraction, but also left great worries for the Hue tourism industry, which is preparing to reopen after the pandemic.

Mr. Linh also said that this weekend the garden plans to welcome a group of tourists who are tourism investors to the top of Bach Ma to survey a high-end resort project there. However, due to the landslide, this survey group may have to cancel the trip.
