Railway reopens 5-star tourist train to serve passengers

The railway industry reopened a 5-star tourist train to serve passengers traveling between Hanoi and Da Nang.

Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company said that the railway industry will re-operate the high-quality tourist train pair SE19/SE20 between Hanoi and Da Nang.

Specifically, from March 2, train SE19 runs daily from Hanoi station at 7:50 p.m., arriving at Da Nang station at 12:12 p.m. From March 3, train SE20 runs daily from Da Nang station at 6:05 p.m., arriving at Hanoi station at 11:46 a.m.

“The train has a modern design, open space, high safety, soundproofing and fireproofing. The sleeper cars have an impressive and luxurious design” - Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company said.

In addition, the company also added that although it is a tourist train, the railway applies an attractive fare policy, about 15-20% lower than the ticket price of the Thong Nhat SE1/SE2 passenger train pair.

For groups, the discount depends on the number of passengers and the time of ticket purchase before the departure date. Groups of 5 to 10 people, purchasing from 1/4 day in advance will receive a 2% discount on the ticket price, 5-19 days in advance will receive a 4% discount, 20 days or more in advance will receive a 6% discount. For groups of 11-40 people, the corresponding discounts are 4%, 6% and 8%.

For groups of 41-70 people, the corresponding discounts are 6%, 8% and 10%. For groups of 71-100 people, the discounts are 8%, 10% and 12%. For groups of 101 people or more, the discounts are 10%, 12% and 14%.

Previously, Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company also informed that from February 6, the railway will adjust the Thong Nhat train schedule after Tet. Ticket prices will be reduced by up to 20% compared to the Tet peak period, depending on the route and train brand.
