Located more than 5 km from the center of the old town, Drawer Coffee Roastery is situated in Group 16, Dong Na, Cam Ha, Hoi An. It's a rather unique coffee shop nestled amidst green meadows, highlighted by the combination of coffee and artistic paintings.
"Drawer Coffee Roastery was originally his personal studio. Later, he stopped painting there and began traveling to paint. The house was then shared with friends to become a coffee shop, art gallery, and studio," artist Dinh Quang Hai (Hai Tre), the owner of the coffee shop, shared with Travellive.
The owner is an artist, so the cafe is designed with a strong artistic flair.
Originally created with the spirit of a shared home, Drawer Coffee Roastery's layout is designed so that people can sit close together, fostering intimate conversations and stronger bonds.
Drawer Coffee Roastery is inspired by the Doraemon manga. The drawer transports you to an exciting new dimension.
The cafe has a ground floor and an upper floor, divided into indoor and outdoor spaces. Furthermore, the interior is decorated with items collected from various places by artist Hai Tre, with the main color scheme being blue and gray. Inside, Drawer features a window frame designed like a train carriage, giving the feeling of being on a train, a popular spot for tourists to take unique photos. Drawer also has a mysterious and attractive entrance leading down to the basement.
In particular, the window frame of the Drawer is designed in the style of a train window, where you can take countless beautiful photos.
The spacious outdoor area offers refreshing green views, filled with lush greenery and flowers, and is even equipped with tents to create a camping experience. Besides providing stunning views, this natural "film set," brimming with scents and sounds, also inspires artists who come to the cafe to create their artwork.

According to Hai Tre, Drawer Coffee Roastery's concept is inspired by the Doraemon comic series, where friends can crawl inside a drawer to travel through time to a completely different and inspiring place. "Drawer" also means "drawer," so the interior decoration is customized with artwork and paintings by artists in Hoi An. This is also a highlight of Drawer Coffee Roastery.
The decorative items in the cafe were collected from all over the world by artist Hai Tre.

"As a true fan of Vietnamese coffee, I chose to develop the cafe in a way that celebrates reputable Vietnamese coffee products, such as the Son Pacamara brand. At the cafe, coffee lovers will find a drink that suits their preferences. Besides that, the salted coffee, prepared with the cafe's own recipe, is also a favorite among many young people," said Hai Tre.
