According to new regulations from the Ministry of Transport, airlines will receive preferential discounts on landing and takeoff services and air traffic control based on their total monthly payments. Specifically, for international flights, the discount ranges from 1.5% to 5% for invoices of USD 125,000 or more. Similarly, domestic flights will also receive a discount of 1.5% to 5% for invoices of VND 5 billion or more.
In addition, the Ministry of Transport also provides free landing and takeoff services and air traffic control for domestic pilot training activities for the first three years. New Vietnamese airlines entering the market will receive a 50% reduction in service fees for the first three years, airlines operating at Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat, and Da Nang airports will receive a 10% reduction for one year, and airlines at other airports will receive a 50% reduction for two years.
From July 1st, the landing and takeoff fees for aircraft of airlines will be reduced based on the amount paid.
In addition, the Ministry of Transport requires airports to publicly display the prices of food and beverage services such as pho, noodles, soft drinks, etc., and the basic price of economy class air tickets.
These are the key points in the new regulations on domestic airfare:
