Hanoi is among the most attractive destinations

Following the British capital are Paris (France) and Rome (Italy). In 5th place is Bali, the beautiful coastal city of Indonesia. This is also the highest ranked Asian country on this list. Next is Phuket of Thailand in 6th place, while Dubai of UAE is in 10th place. Thus, this year, Asia has 3 cities in the list of top 10 most attractive destinations in the world.

For Bali, this is the second consecutive year that the city has become the most attractive destination in Asia. Two Indian destinations: Goa and Jaipur, also made the list of Asia's top 10.

Siem Reap, home to the famous Angkor Wat temple in Cambodia, is ranked 3rd and Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is ranked 4th in Asia (15th in the world). Both cities are located in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) which includes Cambodia, China (Yunnan and Guangxi provinces), Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.

According to TripAdvisor, in 2019, the number of Singaporean tourists to London and Bali, attractive destinations of the world and Asia, is very large. Tourists experiencing the destinations during the peak months can enjoy such as airfare and hotel booking deals. For example, they can save up to 40% on hotels in Bali when visiting in January compared to July.

Also according to TripAdvisor, interest from Singaporean tourists in lesser-known areas of Bali such as Nusa Penida and Uluwatu increased by 398% and 106% respectively between 2016 and 2018, while popular destinations such as Kuta and Seminyak, decreased by 19% and 15% during the same period.
