Vietnamese advised not to travel to Sri Lanka and Algeria

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has just issued official dispatches No. 535/TCDL-LH and 547/TCDL-LH, recommending travel businesses consider organizing tours to Algeria and Sri Lanka during this time.

In the context of instability in these two countries, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has issued a document requesting international travel agencies to consider organizing tours to Algeria and Sri Lanka during this time to ensure security and safety for tourists, minimizing risks and possible damage.

Specifically, in Official Dispatch No. 535/TCDL-LH, the General Department of Tourism stated: According to information from the Vietnamese Embassy in Algeria, recently, a series of protests, marches, and strikes have continuously taken place in most cities of Algeria. This can cause many negative consequences and does not exclude the risk of conflict. Therefore, to ensure security and safety for tourists and minimize the risk of possible damage, the General Department of Tourism requests international travel businesses to consider organizing tours for tourists to Algeria during this time.

Official dispatch No. 547/TCDL-LH also stated: According to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and press and media agencies, on April 21, 2019, a series of bomb explosions occurred at Catholic churches and hotels in Sri Lanka. The bomb explosions caused hundreds of casualties, including many foreign citizens. To ensure security and safety for tourists, international travel businesses should consider organizing tours for tourists to Sri Lanka during this time.

Recently, in Algeria, a series of protests, marches and strikes occurred in most cities, causing many negative consequences and possibly leading to conflicts. Meanwhile, in Sri Lanka, on April 21, a series of bombings targeting churches and hotels killed hundreds of people, including many foreign citizens.
