The airlines announced new flight schedules after the government issued a new decision on implementing social distancing measures following the April 1-15 period and the Civil Aviation Authority granted permission for the April 16-30 period.
Accordingly, Vietnam Airlines will operate the Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City route with a frequency of 2 flights per day instead of 1 flight as before. The routes between Da Nang and Hanoi, and Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City will still be operated with 1 flight per day.
Similarly, Jetstar Pacific increased its flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from 4 flights per week to 1 flight per day.
Vietjet Air and Bamboo Airways have increased the frequency of several domestic routes and are now selling tickets for the Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi route with more than two flights per day.

To ensure aircraft hygiene and safety, airlines have stated that they will strictly implement disinfection and cleaning procedures for equipment immediately after each flight lands in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. Flight crews, including pilots, flight attendants, and technical staff, on all flights will be equipped with medical protective gear. Passengers traveling by air during this period are required to wear face masks throughout the flight.
