Vietnam Airlines increases domestic flights

16/04/2020

From today, April 16, airlines will simultaneously increase the frequency of flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City under the management and licensing of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam. Flights landing in Ho Chi Minh City will be spaced at least 90 minutes apart.

The new flight plans were announced by airlines after the Government issued a new decision on implementing social distancing after the period of April 1-15 and the Civil Aviation Authority granted permission for the period of April 16-30.

Accordingly, Vietnam Airlines will operate flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with a frequency of 2 flights per day instead of 1 flight as before. The flights between Da Nang and Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City will still be operated by the airline with 1 flight per day.

Similarly, Jetstar Pacific increased from 4 flights/week to 1 flight/day for the route between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Vietjet Air and Bamboo Airways have increased the frequency of some domestic routes and are selling tickets for flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi with more than 2 flights/day.
