India is the cradle of Buddhism and also the birthplace of four major world religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism. Nepal is a country heavily influenced by Indian religion. The majority of Nepalese people follow Hinduism and it is the home of Shiva, the patron deity of the Nepalese people.
The WTA travel alliance will help visitors learn about the religions of these two countries through the "India-Nepal Pilgrimage" program.
