Currently, the demand for paragliding in Da Nang is quite developed. In addition to paragliding clubs that attract people who love this sport to participate in playing and participating in activities, since the end of May 2023, 4 businesses in the city have been granted paragliding business licenses. These businesses have instructors with flight licenses, directly supporting tourists who want to experience.

Every year, members of the Clubs regularly participate in competitions such as the "Flying over the Open Silver Sea" paragliding competition within the series of activities of the program "Opening the Danang Sea Tourism Season 2023", or the upcoming "Flying over Tien Sa" paragliding competition within the framework of the "Da Nang Summer Enjoyment Festival 2023" (expected to take place on July 29 and 30).
The “Flying over Tien Sa” paragliding competition is one of the highlight events, part of the series of events of the “Da Nang Summer Enjoyment Festival 2023” because this tournament is expected to attract nearly 100 pilots from paragliding clubs across the country such as: Hanoi, Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Khanh Hoa, Tay Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City... participating in two categories of motorized and non-motorized paragliding; promising to bring beautiful performances to the people and tourists in Da Nang.
Mr. Nguyen Ba Hai, Chairman of the Danang Paragliding Club, said that preparations for the tournament are now complete. In addition to the personnel and parachutes of each participating individual, every week the club members also spend time practicing take-off, flying, landing, etc. In addition to participating in the "Flying on Tien Sa" paragliding competition, the Danang Paragliding Club also participated in a motorized paragliding performance on the opening evening of the "Da Nang Summer Enjoyment Festival 2023". Accordingly, about 10 motorized paragliders will fly along the beach near the stage to respond to the festival's activities to serve the people and tourists.

According to Mr. Hai, Da Nang has many favorable conditions to develop the sport of paragliding, not only flying at Son Tra peninsula, other flying spots are also very attractive such as Nam O, Hoa Bac... According to the Head of the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches, Nguyen Duc Vu, this is a new product classified as an adventure sport. Therefore, to exploit it effectively and create an impression for Da Nang tourism, it is necessary to ensure the correct order and safety for instructors and flyers. In order to develop the non-motorized paragliding product, the management board continues to coordinate with the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center to advise the Department of Tourism to promote and develop paragliding into a unique product of Da Nang to serve people and tourists in the summer of 2023.
Piloting a non-motorized paragliding service business model until the end of 2024
The City People's Committee has allowed the pilot operation of non-motorized paragliding at the Son Tra Peninsula paragliding site from the end of May 2023 to the end of 2024.
