The Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations said that after the process of surveying and evaluating the records of achievements and activities, Tuyen Lam National Tourist Area has met all UNESCO criteria, criteria contributing to sustainable economic development and spreading national cultural values, and was honored in the category of the title of Typical Tourist Area of Asia - Pacific.
Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area is the first place in Vietnam to be honored as a typical tourist area of Asia - Pacific and is also the only representative of Asia to be honored this time.
Tuyen Lam Lake is recognized as a typical tourist area in Asia - Pacific.
The award ceremony will be held on August 3, 2023 in New Delhi, India within the framework of the Vietnam - India Cultural and Economic Exchange Forum and the award ceremony for "Typical Intellectuals, Managers, Scientists, Social Activists, Entrepreneurs, and Enterprises in Asia - Pacific; Vietnamese Identity Brands Positioning Global Values" sponsored and certified by the Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations in coordination with the Indian Council for Global Trade and Technology.
Tuyen Lam Lake is planned as an eco-tourism, resort, entertainment and high-class recreation area, with sustainable development towards green growth, focusing on conservation and natural elements, and protecting water resources.
The title of Asia - Pacific Typical Tourist Area is an opportunity for Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area to promote its brand, image and high-quality resort tourism services to domestic and foreign tourists. Thereby, contributing to affirming and positioning the brand of the provincial tourism industry in general and the Tourist Area in particular on the international map, worthy of being an attractive destination for global tourists.
Tuyen Lam Lake tourist area was officially recognized as a National Tourist Area according to Decision No. 205/QD-TTg dated February 15, 2017 of the Prime Minister. Previously, on August 30, 1998, the Ministry of Culture and Information issued a Decision recognizing Tuyen Lam Lake as a National Historical - Cultural Relic.
