Tuyen Lam Lake has been recognized as a typical tourist destination in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations announced that, after a survey and evaluation of the dossier on achievements and activities, Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area has fully met UNESCO's criteria, including criteria contributing to sustainable economic development and the dissemination of national cultural values, and has been honored in the category of Outstanding Tourist Area in Asia-Pacific.

Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area is the first location in Vietnam to be honored as an Outstanding Tourist Area of ​​Asia-Pacific and is also the only representative from Asia to receive this honor.

The awards ceremony will be held on August 3, 2023, in New Delhi, India, as part of the Vietnam-India Cultural and Economic Exchange Forum and the awards ceremony for "Outstanding Intellectuals, Managers, Scientists, Social Activists, Entrepreneurs, and Businesses in Asia-Pacific; Vietnamese Brands with Global Value Positioning," sponsored and certified by the Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations in collaboration with the Global Trade and Technology Council of India.

Tuyen Lam Lake is planned as a high-end eco-tourism, resort, and entertainment area, developing sustainably in the direction of green growth, prioritizing conservation and natural elements, and protecting water resources.

The title of Outstanding Tourist Area of ​​Asia-Pacific is an opportunity for Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area to promote its brand, image, and high-quality resort tourism services to domestic and international tourists. This contributes to affirming and positioning the brand of the province's tourism industry in general and the tourist area in particular on the international map, making it a worthy destination for global tourists.

Tuyen Lam Lake Tourist Area was officially recognized as a National Tourist Area according to Decision No. 205/QD-TTg dated February 15, 2017, of the Prime Minister. Prior to that, on August 30, 1998, the Ministry of Culture and Information issued a decision recognizing Tuyen Lam Lake as a National Historical and Cultural Monument.
